DUNA DO PÔR-DO-SOL

Every day around 5:00 p.m., tourists head to this large dune to watch the sunset over the beach from this privileged vantage point. Watching the sunset from the dune of Jericoacoara, in the state of Ceará, is one of the great attractions of this beach, which is considered a major ecological sanctuary in the Brazilian Northeast. This ritual is like a ceremony. Tourists, at dusk, invade the sand of this beach and climb on the dune. The sun plunges into the sea in a wave of joy.
