Aracati is a small town at the mouth of the Rio Jaguaripe, 180 km south of Fortaleza. It has a timeless charm, with its azulejo-covered houses with beautiful windows, reminiscent of the more modest ones in São Luis or the beautiful Paraty.Pretty white and blue churches, carts, donkeys, priests, typical inhabitants and a popular carnival that enjoys a small reputation. It is a stop on the way to the seaside resort of Canoa Quebrada.In the surroundings, there are several pleasant beaches to know: Majorlândia (12 km), Quixaba (15 km), Lagoa do Mato (20 km), Fontainha and Retirinho (25 km).
