Sergipe's oldest museum brings together a rich and varied collection of objects and relics important in the history of the state of Sergipe. Paintings, objets d'art and historical documents are on display. There is furniture from the 19th and 20th centuries, various paintings, busts of Sergipe personalities, coin collections, as well as rare objects and photos of characters from the "cangaço", the famous honorary bandits of the Nordeste, such as Lampião.
