A protected natural site in the heart of a native forest, northwest of Ilhéus, ideal for boat and canoe excursions

25 km northwest of Ilhéus, the Lagoa Encantada, the "enchanted lagoon", is a protected natural site in the heart of a native forest where you can observe wild animals (monkeys, coatis, armadillos, capivaras). It extends over 6.4 km². It is accessible through local tourist agencies that offer a tour including transfer, boat and meals. The small village of Lagoa also offers excursions by boat and canoe. You can rent a boat to reach the two waterfalls at the end of the lagoon.
