CAPELA DE NOSSA SENHORA DA PIEDADE

Founded in 1916 by Mother Thais of the Sacred Heart Paillart, the educational institute of Nossa Senhora da Piedade is run by the União Romana da Ordem de Santa Úrsula and is still in operation. The chapel, completed in 1928, is a fine example of neo-gothic architecture. Inside the temple there is an image of Nossa Senhora da Piedade on the altar and finely worked stained glass windows depicting the "Seven Sorrows of Mary".
