In the lower town, near the pier, there's a place we often visit before leaving Salvador, in search of gifts. In and around the Market, you'll find handicrafts, T-shirts and souvenirs of all kinds. Lots of stalls, but the products are more or less the same and more expensive than in markets in other Nordeste cities. Many of the souvenirs are mass-produced and clearly intended to satisfy the demand of tourists alone. Still, it's an interesting stroll.

Il est vrai que ce marché est destiné aux touristes...Par contre c'est ici que j'ai trouvé des produits (sacs,tee shirts ) que je n'ai pas trouvé ailleurs.Ne pas hésiter à traverser le mercato pour se rendre au port.L'endroit est à éviter le soir qui devient vite glauque voir dangereux...Et pourtant très vivant et agréable le jour.
