There is no reception, but if you read English, insist on getting the Petrópolis Imperial Sightseeing, a brochure that includes a map and opening hours of all the attractions in town.

Important: It is not advisable to travel to Petrópolis on Mondays, as almost all shops are closed. Many attractions are not open to the public. If possible, prefer Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, which are quieter than the weekend.
