Large, off-centre baroco-Norman-style establishment with good restaurant, offering all the comforts you could wish for at the right price

The style of the Gallardin Palace is reminiscent of Deauville, a Deauville with a local touch. This large building is in the Baroco-Norman style. It was built by German colonists who worked for the Portuguese crown. Off-centre (6 km from the city centre) but surrounded by greenery, this hotel is a reasonably priced option for staying in Petrópolis. It has all the comforts (wooded rooms, swimming pool, sauna) and a good restaurant. From its lake (with a lighthouse) you have a beautiful view of the Palacio Quintadinha.
