A beach a little further from the center than Pontal, offering a great attraction where its mud has many virtues

Jabaquara beach is a little further from the centre than Pontal and this is probably what makes it so charming. It is located north of Praia do Pontal, behind a small hill. It is a long beach, lined with pousadas and a campsite, but it has remained quite wild. The big attraction here is the mud, which is said to have many virtues. During the carnival, a bloco (caranaval group) even starts its journey here, rolling in this brown tide before starting the parade in the streets of the city.
