Jesuit-style church with Baroque-Rococo altar, city museum of sacred art and adjoining cemetery
Built in 1722 by freed slaves, the church of Santa Rita has a Jesuit style architecture. Inside, the style is rather baroque-rococo, especially the altar. It is the oldest in the village and the "postcard" of Paraty, which you can see when you arrive by boat. It now houses the town's museum of sacred art, which will delight lovers of the genre. The finely carved balcony railing and the adjoining cemetery, built in the 19th century, are worth seeing. Don't miss the processions of the Santa Rita festivities in mid-July.

Belle église qui donne sur le port de Paraty. Maintenant à l'intérieur il y a un musée (que je n'ai pas visité). Bien entretenue.
