Fundição Progresso is a venue dedicated to music and art near the Lapa arches. Another of Rio's cultural hubs
As its name suggests, Fundição Progresso is a former foundry in the heart of Lapa. Today, it's a place dedicated to music and art, close to the Lapa arches. It has become a concert venue for local stars such as Caetano Veloso, as well as international stars (Manu Chao loves the place!). It also serves as a rehearsal hall for samba schools, a party hall and a venue for theatrical performances... This magical venue can accommodate over 5,000 people. Another of Rio's cultural hubs.
