Numerous sumptuous residences of the former aristocracy can be found around the Plaça d'Es Born and the cathedral.

Concentrated around the Plaça des Born, whose obelisk recalls the Turkish invasion of 1558, the sumptuous residences of the former Menorcan aristocracy make up Ciutadella's majestic heritage. A stroll through the old town is a must to admire these unique testimonies to the island's noble past. These include the Palau Salort, dating back to 1600, the Palau de Torre-Saura, with its neoclassical façade, and the Casa Olivar, just opposite the cathedral, all of which are open to visitors.

Ciutadella est une agréable ville à visiter. La place Es Born est entourée de nombreux bâtiments à l'architecture très différente.
C'est un bon point de départ pour garer la voiture et faire un circuit à pied.
L'office de tourisme tout proche fournit des plans en français.

Magnifique petite ville située au sud ouest de Minorque, qui vaut vraiment un petit détour. Très joli palais, belle architecture. Depuis le palais, descendez sur le port et profitez de nombreux restaurants de poissons. J'ai hâte d'y retourner!
