Construction of important walls of 6 m high for more than 60 years of work
The construction of these imposing walls was ordered by King James II at the end of the 13th century, in order to protect Alcúdia from the raids of the Turkish pirates who were then rampant throughout the Mediterranean. The erection of these 6-metre high walls took the royal workers and architects more than 60 years. They were redesigned in the 16th and 17th centuries under the reign of King Felipe IV. The Sant Ferran stronghold dates from this period and can still be seen today in the Plaza de Toros.

Belle muraille qui entoure la vieille ville de Alcudia. Elle permet d'avoir un aperçu de la ville et de ses alentours. Le paysage est beau. la balade est sympa par beau temps. A faire !

De magnifiques remparts avec portes entourent la vieille ville d'ALCUDIA. Très bien conservés pour la plus grande partie.

A faire ! Typiques remparts depuis lesquels on peut observer la ville historique de haut et la lumière du soleil sur les façades. Descendez des remparts et perdez vous également dans les ruelles pour profiter de l'air plus frais et du calme ambiant.
