Three festivals in one for Eivissa: that of the island's patron saint, the city's patron saint and the Catalan conquest of Ibiza.
The first days of August are full of festivities for Eivissa, informally called the "Festes de la Terra" (Festivals of the Earth)! Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves (Our Lady of the Snows), the island's patron saint, is celebrated on 5 August, and San Ciriaco (Saint Cyriacus), the patron saint of the island's capital, on 8 August. August 8 is also the day of commemoration of the Catalan conquest of Ibiza in 1235. Masses and fireworks.
