A very popular and romantic place in Ixelles, the two ponds are bordered by beautiful houses and offer a very nice walk.

The beautiful facades of the houses take us back to the atmosphere of pre-1940 Brussels. These include fine examples of Flemish neo-Renaissance, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, the best-known of which is the Flagey "liner" on the eponymous square. A former spillway, the ponds of Ixelles offer a romantic setting for a stroll to La Cambre Abbey. Originally, there were four ponds, fed by the Maelbeek stream. Today, only the upper and lower ponds are known.

chouette pour se poser le long de l'étang pour lire un livre ou se poser avec des amis pour un picknick. Facile pour aller boire un verre ou chercher un truc à manger avec tous les bars/restos qu'il y a autour...

Endroit sympathique pour une balade
Endroit idéal pour une balade ou un footing ou pour se poser dans l'herbe au bords de l'étang et se reposer. Proche de la place flagey et de ses bars. C'est un aussi un bon endroit pour se garer à proximité de la place flagey.

Belle zone de Bruxelles. Les étangs sont entourés d'immeuble de style. La place Flagey, à deux pas, permet de se désaltérer ou de manger sur d'agréables terrasses.
