An incredible wardrobe for the most famous of Brussels' inhabitants and a playful museum for young and old alike.

Today, this precious wardrobe comprises over 1,000 costumes, enabling us to dress the most famous inhabitant of Brussels. Among these are many original outfits, donated by associations, brotherhoods, personalities and distinguished guests. These include his oldest costume (a nobleman's habit, a gift from King Louis XV to make the people of Brussels forgive his troops for kidnapping the statue), a real Santa Claus costume, a Japanese samurai outfit, and an unlikely Michel Polnareff outfit (wig included). Inside, you can follow in the footsteps of the statue's official dresser thanks to a sound trail, easily understood by children aged 10 and over. Of course, for obvious conservation and space reasons, it's impossible to see all the costumes. Virtually, however, visitors can browse the entire wardrobe. The wardrobe can be consulted on site, at the Maison du Roi and on the website. To find out, for example, which personality donated which costume for which occasion. A well-crafted booklet summarizing the history of Manneken-Pis and his incredible wardrobe is available free of charge at the entrance. Finally, two games are available for the dexterity of young and old alike: a "memory" game for the little ones to enjoy, and the chance to dress the ketje in one of his simplest costumes.

Smart tip: a ticket to visit the King's House (Musée de la Ville) includes a visit to the wardrobe!

Un petit musée très amusant car on peut essayer de deviner les origines des costumes avant de lire l'étiquette.
On s'y offre quelques fous rires.
