This former covered market is an information centre on the region and an exhibition space on the urban evolution of Brussels.
The Halles Saint-Géry are the historic heart of Brussels. In 1881, a covered market was built to replace the open-air market that had been held there for a long time, around an existing fountain. A mixture of iron and glass, in a Flemish neo-Renaissance style, the architecture of the halls is worth a visit. Today it is an information centre on the region with, on the first floor, a permanent exhibition on the urban evolution of Brussels from the 17th century to the present day and a café. In the basement, there are temporary exhibitions and a concert hall.

Bar sympa dans un lieu historique de Bruxelles avec terrasse en été. A l'intérieur il y a des expos photos. Il y a de très bon thé glacés maison.

Là où toute visite de Bruxelles devrait commencer
... puisque c'est à cet endroit que Bruxelles a historiquement commencé ! Un rdv immanquable dans le centre, des expos gratuites sur le vieux Bruxelles régulières, fauteuils plus qu'accueillants, petite restauration, possibilité de jouer aux échecs, le tout à l'abri et au chaud, que demander de plus ?

Ce sont des anciennes halles de marché reconverties en lieu de vie, en centre d'exposition,et bar ... Très agréable pour aller boire un verre dans l'après midi dans de confortables chaises (wifi présent) ce qui procure une pause dans une ambiance jeune et branchée. Le service est décontracté, vous devez faire votre demande de consommation au bar qui dispose qui plus est d'un choix étendu de bières... Y aller absolument !!
