Emblematic of the Brussels landscape, the Atomium rises to a height of 102 meters. It was built for the 1958 Universal Exhibition. Its structure represents an iron crystal enlarged 165 billion times. More than half of the tour is dedicated to exhibitions on Belgium and the digital arts. Permanent or temporary, these exhibitions are scheduled throughout the year. You'll enjoy an exceptional, circular panorama of the entire city. Access to the nearby Design Museum Brussels is included. Restaurant at the top.

Halfway between sculpture and architecture, the Atomium was designed and built for the 1958 Brussels Universal and International Exhibition. More often referred to as Expo 58, it was the flagship building and emblem. Representing an elementary iron crystal enlarged 165 billion times, the building's unique silhouette has become, over the years, the symbol of Brussels and Belgium.
From the inside, the Atomium offers a surrealistic stroll through surprising spaces and volumes that are well worth the detour, such as the stainless steel domes [18m in diameter] supported by an impressive metal framework, or the tubes housing the escalators and sound and light shows. In addition to its impressive architecture and heritage value, the Atomium is also a place of culture. More than half the tour is dedicated to exhibitions focusing on digital arts and photography. At the moment, the Atomium invites you to discover the permanent exhibition retracing 66 years of history of the former Expo 58 pavilion, the digital installation CENTRALE and two temporary exhibitions RESTART and "I Have Seen the Future".
The Atomium ticket automatically includes admission to the Design Museum Brussels (150m away).
