The Riches-Claires church dates from the 17th century. The building has an interesting Brabantine Baroque architecture.
The urbanist nuns of the Riches-Claires have been established in Brussels since the middle of the 14th century. The Flemish Renaissance church dates from the 17th century and was designed by Luc Fayd'herbe. It has an interesting Brabantine Baroque architecture. Nearby was a secondary branch of the old Senne riverbed, when the river still flowed through Brussels in the open. A reconstruction of this can be seen (rue Saint-Géry, 23), reminding us of what the alleys of this district were like in a bygone era.
