One of the best chip shops in BrusselsFries cooked in beef fat to be devoured on the terraces of the cafés on the square.
This family-run chip shop (since 1948) is the best known among the inhabitants of Brussels and foreign visitors. It was awarded the title of "best fries in the world" by the New York Times. They are a little more expensive than the average and other chip shops prepare them just as well; crunchy and tasty because they are cooked in beef fat. The big plus is that the establishment has an agreement with the bars in the square, so you can enjoy beer and chips on the terrace of one of them (but ask permission first).

Friterie repute la file d'attente est longue mais en vaut le detour. Un grand choix de sauces pour la plupart maison, qui me font toujours ne pas savoir laquelle choisir.

Cette année petite déception. Nous n'avons pas retrouvé la qualité exceptionnelle de cette maison. Ce n'était pas pas les mêmes personnes qui officiaient, ceci explique peut-être cela. Et comme pour de précédents clients il a fallu revenir réclamer des sauces payées et oubliées dans la livraison. Quand on a une affiche avec 'meilleures frites au monde' on se doit à plus de rigueur. Nous verrons l'année prochaine.
