Enter the organic produce store and at the far end of the staircase, you're there. Chez Tan is the place to eat healthy, organic, vegetarian or flexitarian food: raw, marinated or cooked at low temperature, to preserve as many vitamins and original flavors as possible. Rare vegetables garnish the plates. Starters include fennel and avocado fettine marinated in lemongrass, with a purée of raw spring herbs, followed by a fillet of sea bass stuffed with spinach and wild garlic, with a cardamom emulsion of white asparagus. Culinary art!

The Groot Eiland Workshop, among others, trains job seekers here to work as clerks, in the dining room and in Dutch. They have set up their restaurant in a part of the former malt house of the Belle-Vue brewery, in a beautiful, light room. A large part of the vegetables is grown in the garden on the spot. The rest is purchased locally and with unsold produce from the morning market. Each day, a different dish (meat or veg) but also salads and pastas. And on weekends, it's a gala menu in the evening. A hearty, healthy cuisine at a low price.
