Awamaki is a small but very active NGO in the region. It works with women from the traditional communities of Patacancha and Willoq and international designers to offer traditional but trendy pieces. It's expensive but with a real label, superb materials and beautiful finishes. You can also contact them to visit these communities or stay with the locals in Ollantaytambo. If you want to buy a souvenir with a little bit of history or live an authentic adventure, it's an excellent contact.
