Lodging surrounded by vineyards, with a large private swimming pool and a natural pool in Madalena.
This is one of the few accommodations you'll find in the Azores. The owners have traveled extensively, particularly in Asia, and brought back souvenirs that are now used to decorate the various rooms and the two villas. There's something exceptional and luxurious about this establishment. Traditional on the outside, modern on the inside. The property is surrounded by vineyards, has a large private swimming pool and a natural pool just outside the door. The view over Faial is extraordinary. A top-of-the-range address.

Discover the magic of Pico Island from Pocinhobay Resort. Unique lodging located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the middle of Pico’s vineyard culture landscape. Wonderful, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet = TOP.

Like in paradise! The location is idyllic, lovingly and stylishly furnished, the hosts and the staff are totally friendly and authentic. An absolute recommendation if you want to stay overnight on the island!

Pocinhobay is one of the most special places that I’ve ever stayed. My husband and I stayed there for three nights during our honeymoon trip to the Azores. It was stunning, and so peaceful.
Luisa, the homeowner, was there to receive us upon check-in. She gave us a tour of the property, and was available throughout our stay for any questions or needs.
We stayed in their new one bedroom villa, which was absolutely stunning. We had a patio that wrapped around the entire place, a private pool, and a beautiful view of Pocinhobay and the ocean. The Villa was fully stocked with all amenities, contemporary finishes, organic soaps, and incredible art from Luisa’s travels.
We had a full, fresh, local breakfast in one of the common areas every morning, surrounded by photographs and art from all over the world.
The property is so peaceful to meander through. It is private and quiet. It feels like the perfect balance between a historic glimpse of Pico and a contemporary approach to design.
Definitely recommend renting a car, as the only other way to get around is really taxis. The resort is not really in walking distance to very much, but it is within 15-20 min driving distance to lots of restaurants and points of interest, as well as the airport.
Bottom line…stay here! We cannot wait to go back again!
