SCRIMSHAW MUSEUM

Don't let its size fool you! Located on the second floor of the Peter Café Sport, this tiny museum is undoubtedly one of the finest museums of scrimshaw, the art of engraving sperm whale ivory. Access is via the bar on the first floor, and you'll be shown around by the owner himself. Passionate about the art of engraving, he'll explain how the museum was created and the history of the island, when sperm whales were still hunted. The perfect activity for a rainy day, finish off on the first floor with a hot chocolate and a fofa.
