TERCEIRA ISLAND AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM

A very small museum, which takes 15 minutes to visit. In the only exhibition room, you can admire superb farming implements and tools of all kinds, both past and present. Altares is one of the most agricultural villages on the island, with the most cows! We also learn that it is the only village on Terceira to manufacture tiles, and that it used to grow tobacco.
