Quinta da Mó is first and foremost a tropical garden that will enchant you in every season. Exotic fruit trees, manicured lawns, bamboo-lined paths, an exuberance of flowers and, to complete the picture, a river running through the property where you can swim to your heart's content. Luisa, the hostess, welcomes you with maps, ideas for sightseeing, restaurant tips and fruit from her garden. There's also private parking, a hot tub and a barbecue with table and chairs in a small pavilion overlooking the river. An excellent address.
