White house which was the residence of the commanders of the naval base, the place of retirement of Truman and became a museum in 1986
This white house was the residence of the naval base commanders until after World War II. It was then refurbished as a retreat for President Truman, who stayed here for a total of 175 days between 1946 and 1952. The land of the naval base was sold and in 1974 the restored house became a museum in 1986. The furniture and decorations are original. A small free exhibition awaits you at the back of the store.

Un lieu historique très intéressant. La maison se trouve dans le centre de Key West et permet de découvrir que aspect de la vie de l'ancien président des Etats-Unis.

Un lieu à part à Key West où l'on mêle l'esprit de la région avec l'Histoire. On en apprend un peu plus sur Truman. Intéressant por tout le monde même les non anglophone puisque la traduction de la visite est distribuée en français.
