This Spanish colonial quarter is the second most important attraction in the city after Fort San Marcos

This old Spanish colonial district is not to be missed! Second only to Fort San Marcos, the Historical Museum of the Old Spanish Colonial Quarter is unique: it's a mini-village as it was around 1740 where you're invited to chat with artisans, blacksmiths, calligraphers and other leather workers, while women carry their buckets. Then, indulge in a sangria at the Taberna del Gallo tavern, not to mention a bite to eat at the two Spanish colonial restaurants on site.
