Island with a short walking path at the north end of Biscayne National Park and a very exclusive private club
An island that offers a short walking path at the north end of the park. Adams Keys is only open from sunrise to sunset. It is therefore not possible to spend the night there (prefer Boc Chita Key or Elliot Key) but you can stay there all day and have a picnic if you feel like it. From 1922 to 1974, Adams Key was home to the Cocolobo Cay Club, a very exclusive private club frequented by American presidents Johnson and Nixon, among others. The main building burned down in 1974, and the rest of the club was destroyed by Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
