It's a magnificent old listed movie theater, inaugurated in 1926 and meticulously restored in 2002 to house the Florida Philharmonic, operas, ballets and other shows. The 1,700-seat theater then hosted the immersive exhibition "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience", before being taken over by the City of Miami to cope with the economic difficulties associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, pending new programming. This cinema was the first building in Dade County to be equipped with air conditioning.
