The Mirado building in the Sanchinarro district of North Madrid was designed in 2007 by the Dutch architects of MVRDV in collaboration with the Madrid architect Blanca Lion. The 63,4 m building is only a 21-storey building with apartments around a central «hole», an empty space, which serves as garden and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. This is where he takes his name from Mirador.
