Located on the Paseo del Prado, not far from the capital's three major museums, the CaixaForum is a place that does much for Madrid's cultural dynamism. Built in a former power plant, part of which has been preserved, this cultural center is worth a visit for its avant-garde architecture, vertical garden and exhibitions. In almost 2,000 square meters, you can admire ancient art, modern art or contemporary art, numerous music festivals or multimedia performances. There is something for everyone!

The first anthropological museum created in Spain, in 1875, is housed in a 19th century building and shares its premises with the National Library of Spain. In addition to temporary exhibitions on a specific theme, the permanent rooms present the culture of the different peoples of America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. The room dedicated to the Philippines is particularly rich following Spain's long presence in these islands.

Fábrica is a private cultural institution that hosts year-round exhibitions of quality photography and video art in the basement. The exhibitions highlight in particular the artists to whom Fábrica provides support. The cultural institution being also a publishing house, it also has its own bookshop on the ground floor. There are art books and beautiful photo books in particular. You can also enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine or enjoy the very good restaurant next door.

The idea of the "great route", almost 2 km long, arises from the need to link Cibeles Square to that of Spain. We had to demolish a whole neighbourhood for the drill. The work in three times printed their seal to architecture: between 1917 and 1910, between Alcalá Street and Telefónica's building, buildings imitate Paris buildings from the late th century; from 1922 to 1925 until Callao was the outbreak of the first skyscraper in Madrid: from 1925 onwards, the extension to Spanish square.
