Building constituting a symbol of Madrid for its dome with a winged Victory, beautiful view from the roof top of the Circulo de Bellas Artes
The Edificio Metrópolis, under renovation until 2024, is a symbol of Madrid, with its large dome topped by a winged victory. Originally, the building belonged to an insurance company, Unión y el Fenix, and the slate dome was topped by a phoenix. With the change of ownership in 1975, the bird flew away and victory took its place. At the corner of Calle de Alcalá and Gran Via, it is clearly visible from the Azotea roof top, as well as from the terrace of the Hotel Principal Madrid. As beautiful to contemplate by day as by night!

Effectivement c'est emblématique des bâtiments situés sur gran via, à remarquer son dôme très curieux et sa façade du début de siècle dernier, surement l'uns des bâtiments les plus photographiés de Madrid.
