The line, called Xmundifer (pronounced "chmoundifère"), ran between Valletta and Mdina, serving the stations of Hamrun, Birkirkara and Attard. Due to a lack of customers, operations ceased in the 1930s, but are still evoked by a miniature train carved in stone, as well as by the war memorial. In addition to the flower beds, aviaries, pretty pond, rock garden and children's playground, the garden's major attraction is the restored third-class carriage that you can see parked on the platform.
