The most beautiful religious buildings Qrendi

Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde used to be the main church. The interest of the current building (^17th century) lies in the numerous votive paintings deposited by sailors, who have always been faithful to the chapel. These paintings depict tragedies that occurred at sea at different times.

The church of Sainte-Marie and its attractive carved wooden portal were built in the ^17th century, when the village became an independent parish. It was gradually enlarged as the population grew. Like many of the island's churches and cathedrals, it is the work of Maltese architect Lorenzo Gafà.
