Vorab, wir waren schon Weltweit in über 30, 4 und 5 Sterne Hotels innerhalb 10 Jahren. Das Hilton Hotel Malta ist OK, mehr aber auch nicht und unserer Meinung nach keine 5 Sterne.
Preis/Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Ehrlich gesagt können wir die Bewertungen weder hier noch auf anderen Plattformen nicht glauben denn 5 von 5 oder 6 von 6 Sterne wäre ja Perfekt wovon dieses Hotel aber ganz weit entfernt ist.

Zusammengefasst:
Lage Hotel: Gut
Sauberkeit Hotel/Zimmer: Gut
Frühstück: Schlecht, wenig Auswahl, 9 tage immer das selbe, sehr laut, nicht sauber, Personal lustlos. Rauchen ist teilweise erlaubt.
Pool: OK, aber viel zu kalt, ungepflegt, liegen billig, Schmutzig. Kein Bademeister, Personal aber Positiv.
Parkhaus: Gruselig. Absolutes Ghetto. Dunkel und Dreckig. Tipp: Fahrzeug vom Hotelmitarbeiter rein/raus fahren lassen.
Hotelmitarbeiter: überwiegend Nett und Höflich
Wlan: Normal, „schnell“ kostet extra.
Zimmer: Gut ausgestattet aber Rest siehe Bilder. Sehr Hellhörig, man hört jeden schritt der Nachbarn. Ruhe eher selten. Ameisenplage auf dem Balkon. Tipp: Hafenblick buchen da schöner als Meerblick.
Publikum: Gemischte Nationen, viele denken sie wären etwas besonderes weil Sie ja schliesslich im „Hilton“ sind und viel Geld bezahlt haben und sich daher wie „offene Hose“ benehmen. Geld schenkt einem halt kein Anstand oder Rücksichtnahme.
Feiern: Private Geburtstage, Hochzeiten etc von externen Personen werden in den Bereichen gefeiert die für Hotelgäste gedacht sind. Das schränkt in soweit ein weil diese Bereiche dann nicht mehr genutzt werden können.

Rezeption und Service: bemüht, aber man muss immer wieder nachfragen bei Problemen oder wünschen. Sehr Negativ ist Herr Marat aufgefallen der uns die Rechnung des Aufenthaltes gegeben hat, dieser hielt es nicht für nötig diese auch nur im Ansatz zu erklären, zb. Steuern auf der Rechnung die nicht nachvollziehbar sind. Er war derart Arrogant das wir ihn unterbrechen mussten da auf der Rechnung sogar Positionen doppelt berechnet wurden, so mussten wir Ihm die Rechnung erklären, erst dann wurde diese Korrigiert.
Weiteres Bsp.: zu um 900 Uhr Blumen bestellt (im voraus bezahlt) zum Geburtstag, 930 immer noch nicht da. Nachgefragt, wussten von nichts, musste erfragt werden. 1300 Uhr waren die Blumen dann auf dem Zimmer. Weder eine Entschuldigung oder irgend eine Aufmerksamkeit vom Hotel selbst. Geschweige denn Glückwünsche etc. Dazu wurden die bereits bezahlten Blumen bei der Endabrechnung nochmals versucht zu berechnen und das sogar doppelt. Geht gar nicht.

Wenn man mal eine Nacht hier verweilt vielleicht mit Glück ok aber sicher keinen Urlaub zur Erholung. Für uns nie wieder.

Thank you very much for your detailed review. We are disappointed to have fallen short of your expectations during your visit to the Hilton Malta, though we thank you for your kind feedback regarding our location, the cleanliness of our rooms, and the friendliness of our team members.

We provide a full buffet breakfast in our main restaurant, with salads, breads, pastries, cereals, fruit and yoghurts, cooked items including omelettes made to a guest's preference, and local items. We vary our range of items from day to day, with the aim of meeting as many of our guests' tastes and preferences as we can. We are sorry that you felt there was insufficient variety; please do reach out to our Chefs during a future visit, as we often serve items straight from the main Kitchen which may not be on display in the restaurant. Certainly your visit was during a very busy period, and some times are busier than others at breakfast, so we advise guests on the best times to join us for breakfast if they wish for a quieter experience.

You may wish to know that our designated smoking areas are at the legally-required distance from the pool and the food and beverage areas, and these are the only spaces where smoking is permitted. As for the car park, it is not part of our hotel (though guests are welcome to park their cars there); but we shall share your feedback with the car park management.

We appreciate that there were some issues that we could have handled better, such as the order of flowers from a local florist, and the calculation of your bill, so we thank you for your patience and understanding with these mishaps.

We hope to welcome you back to our hotel one day, and to having another opportunity to provide you with a truly enjoyable experience.

We had a family holiday booked at this location. The Hilton in St Juliens is a wonderful location for a family to enjoy everything Malta has to offer.

The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The cleaning staff were amazing, kept our rooms particularly spotless. The beds were comfortable, good amount of storage to organise clothing.

The breakfast was a tremendous spread, with a wide range of delicious options. The wait staff were incredibly helpful, keeping on top of the room in a pleasant way. The local breads served is something I still miss.

The pool was enjoyable, especially after a long day of walking in the heat.

The concierge assisted us when we were booking various tours, looking to them for suggestions on how to spend our time in Malta, and they always came through with great options.

The location is very convenient to the great restaurant and nightlife options nearby, and everything is either a walk or quick taxi nearby.

I couldn't recommend this Hilton more highly.

Preise wecken Erwartungen

Zimmer gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber.
Hotel sehr gepflegt und edel.

Frühstück umfangreich! Doch leider ist der Frühstücksraum für die Vielzahl der Gäste viel zu klein. Die Warteschlange reichte auch mal bis auf die Treppe.

Hallenbad und Fitnessstudio außerordentlich groß und gepflegt.

Wir hatten ein Meerblickzimmer gebucht UND bezahlt. Doch leider gab es nur ein „Balkonblick- Zimmer“. Die Nachbarn saßen in der Abendsonne und guckten uns auf den Balkon. Und die irre laute Musik vom Nachbarhotel gab es bis spät in die Nacht.

This marks my third stay at Hilton Malta, warranting a comprehensive review. Overall, it remains, in my opinion, the finest luxury hotel in the St Julian’s/Portomaso region, where I enjoyed yet another holiday of perfection and relaxation.

As an ardent daily swimmer, my focus often centers around the available pools, and Hilton Malta does not disappoint. The infinity pool, restricted for adults aged 16 and above, holds a special place in my heart. The vigilant staff ensure it remains exclusive to adults, creating a perfect space for both training and leisurely swims.

The hotel staff are consistently well-trained, attentive, and exceptionally helpful.

The hotel’s prime location stands out; it's conveniently accessible on foot to various locales without enduring the disruptive noises of a party scene. It does not confine itself behind high walls and offers an inviting ambiance.

The rooms are capacious, impeccably equipped, and always maintained spotlessly. Opting for a sea-view room allows me to relish the sound of the waves, fostering a homey atmosphere. I've found very little to fault in this regard.

During my stays, I've observed several families, and it’s evident they are warmly welcomed. Additionally, there seems to be a regular schedule for children’s crafting activities, especially during the warmer seasons.

A few noteworthy observations:

- The absence of the charming "towel art," folded towels representing animals, a delightful feature from previous years, has been missed. I hope to see its return in the future.
- While I always pre-book breakfast along with my room, it went unnoticed twice during my recent stay (at check-in and the following morning). Though promptly resolved, it was a minor inconvenience.
- On two occasions at the Vista Lobby Lounge, one of the waiters appeared somewhat aloof, resulting in our decision to dine elsewhere.
- Regrettably, the cake we ordered at Vista appeared dry, despite a delectable filling. We were informed about issues with the display's cooling, which had affected the refrigeration.

Just stayed here for a week. Hotel claims to be 5 star. More like a high 4 star. Some very good points and some annoying points that cannot be easily explained or justified, which ruin the whole experience.

Positive points - Staff are lovely, good facilities, great selection of restaurants, good gym and spa. Nice pool and pool attendants. The food is great and service excellent. Good selection of food at breakfast. Excellent gym and spa. Lovely employees. Well trained and very friendly. Excellent customer service.

Negative points - 2 Ice machines nearest our room were broken during the whole week. Asked reception to fix it on first day. Nothing done. The hotel is badly sound proofed so it’s super noisy. Our room was above the gym so banging techno and weights crashing from 7am onwards. Lovely. Plus late night events with loud music until 1am. Fine for the corporate clients but not very relaxing for everyone else.

The rooms need a make over as there is a lot of wear and tear. Mould in the bathroom, broken soap dish in the shower, ripped leather headboard and scuffed and chipped furniture. Poor attention to detail

Also no late check out available despite asking a week early.

Last point and the worst one is the hotel asks for a pre-authorisation on your card. Fairly standard in all hotels. But then asks for a deposit. I put down £500 for the week as their usual deposit is €150 per person per night. That’s crazy as it’s more than the cost of the whole holiday. So when I went over my deposit amount I was sent a very patronising letter saying I had exceeded my credit limit. Rude and disrespectful towards the guests.

In summary it’s a nice hotel but small details really let this place down and do not make this a 5 star hotel experience.

Thank you for your review. We thank you for your kind comments regarding the hospitality of our team members, our leisure facilities, and our food options at breakfast and dinner, though of course we are disappointed to have fallen short of your expectations in some ways during your stay.

We appreciate that, with the high degree of usage during the busy summer season when the hotel is full for an extended time, our rooms and public areas suffer a degree of wear. While we clean all the property daily, proper maintenance and refurbishment will be carried out in the quieter seasons when the occupancy is lower - we are preparing to start this in the coming days.

As the hotel was full during your stay, we are sorry not to have been able to grant you a late check out - as you can imagine, all our rooms are in demand during the high season and we needed to prepare your room for the subsequent guest.

We are also disappointed that you were disturbed by noise from our gym and from the client events which occasionally take place during the summer - we shall do our best to allocate a quieter room when you stay with us again, where you will be undisturbed.

Finally, we appreciate the inconvenience of having to return to our Front Desk to provide a second pre-authorisation. We have also reviewed the wording of the letter with which we invite guests to call at the Desk to do this, and we are sorry that it sounded patronising to you - our intention is simply to notify our guests when their credit limit has expired in order that they may renew it and continue enjoying the benefit of charging their meals and extras to their rooms.

We hope you will return to our hotel one day soon. We look forward to welcoming you back and to having another opportunity to provide you with a truly enjoyable experience.

Very nice hotel with a stunning lobby, nice pool area with ocean view, OK breakfast (very American though, there was BQQ sauce available lol), nice room which was cleaned well. Going to Valetta may not be walkable, but ubers are widely available and not expensive, and in this neighborhood there are many restaurants anyway.

1st time at Hilton Malta and it was an absolute treat. Staff went over and beyond to assist us and help us in any way they could.

Typical Hilton hotel, with some serious downsides in the room quality and the service. Many amenities, which are and should be available in such category hotels, are not there.
Service was mediocre, especially given Hilton standard.
Otherwise the location is nice, but St. Julian's is probably not the nicest part of Malta.
Congress facilities were very good, food average.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel in occasione di un evento per motivi di lavoro. Avevamo una prenotazione per 3 camere interamente pagate con bonifico (bonifico di cui avevamo mandato una settimana prima la ricevuta all’hotel, che ci aveva risposto confermando tutto). All’arrivo, però, ci dicono che avevamo pagato solo la prima notte di tutte le camere e nonostante mostriamo loro (ancora) la copia del bonifico avvenuto e gli scambi email avvenuti con loro, non vogliono lasciarci accedere alle camere in quanto nei documenti che avevano li al desk del check-in “non risultavano ancora pagate le altre 2 notti”. Abbiamo così dovuto lasciare una carta di credito in cui ci avrebbero addebitato le spese da noi già sostenute.
Arrivati finalmente alle nostre camere troviamo una spiacevole sorpresa: un forte odore di muffa in particolare all’interno di cassetti ed armadi. Abbiamo subito chiesto di avere delle camere sostitutive ma ci è stato risposto in modo molto scortese “impossibile, non abbiamo mai ricevuto nessuna lamentela del genere… “. e poi “ non abbiamo altre camere, ora vi mandiamo il servizio pulizie”. Il servizio pulizie chiaramente non ha potuto fare altro che portare un profumatore a vapore che abbiamo dovuto tenere acceso per tutto il nostro soggiorno a coprire l’odore. Durante i giorni di pernottamento abbiamo avuto modo di constatare: 1. il personale addetto alle pulizie totalmente incompetente (lavano ogni giorno pavimenti e cassetti lasciandoli poi interamente bagnati…. causando inevitabile muffa) 2. parlando con altri ospiti abbiamo scoperto che l’inconveniente del “pagamento non ricevuto” era capitato a MOLTI… e non aggiungo altro!!!
Dimenticavo, in tutte le camere affianco al lavandino troverete un apposito distributore di acqua potabile… ACQUA POTABILE DA CUI ESCONO VERMI!!
In definitiva per me questo hotel di 5 stelle ha solo la “forma” (bella la struttura e gli arredi), ma per quanto riguarda tutto il resto lo posso tranquillamente paragonare ad un hotel 1 stella.. con la differenza che i prezzi delle camere sono 10 volte tanto. A mai più!!

My stay at Hilton was fantastic! The staff were very friendly, the room was beautiful with a breathtaking sea view, the dining options were outstanding and the buffet breakfast was amazing with alot of variety to choose from. I highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious and memorable experience.

An unforgettable and relaxing weekend getaway. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The staff were absolutely amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable.

The breakfast buffet was incredible! A wide variety of food to accommodate to everyone’s taste buds.
Dinner at the blue elephant Thai restaurant was definitely something everyone should give a try, the flavors transport you straight to Thailand. The decor with the koi fish and the fountain made experience unforgettable.

On top of that there is a beautiful fully equipped gym to get in the perfect work out.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Malta or anyone looking for a weekend getaway!

Our stay at the Hilton was exceptional from the moment I walked in, the staff's warmth and professionalism were evident. The room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and offered stunning views of botht the pool and the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel's amenities, including the luxurious spa and multiple dining options, were top-notch. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend the Hilton for a memorable and relaxing vacation.

I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful weekend at the Hilton Malta hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. The variety of dining options was also impressive and you can find a restaurant to suit everyone’s tastebuds. They also have a fully equipped fitness center which was a bonus, and the array of services, including the spa and pools, made for a truly luxurious stay. The staff's exceptional hospitality added a warm touch to the experience, and the rooms were impeccably clean and met all standards for comfort. Overall, I highly recommend the Hilton Malta for a fantastic and memorable getaway.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hilton Hotel for a weekend getaway, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the staff, setting a positive tone for our stay. Having recently attended a fundraising event, my initial dismay at discovering that there was nothing suitable for one member of our party to eat, due to dietary requirements, turned into delight as the Maltese chef came out personally to discuss options and served up an off menu dish at no extra charge.

Overall we had a great stay at the Hilton Malta and would definitely return.

However as a loyal Hilton Honors member (not that I expect preferential treatment) but mentioning that we have been upgraded to an Executive room as a result of my membership status would have been appreciated and not having to discover this by virtue of being on the Executive floor. Just some feedback for the front office staff.

I can not fault the location, facilities or ambiance. The service staff were also very helpful and pleasant.
