MUSÉE MUNICIPAL PATTICHIO

Located along the municipal garden, this municipal museum created in 2011 (Παττίχειο Δημοτικό Μουσείο/Pattichio Dimotiko Mousio) occupies an elegant colonial house dating from 1878. This was the headquarters of the British governor of the region, and then the headquarters of the Limassol district until 2000. On two floors, the museum retraces the city's history since the ^18th century, through photos, newspapers and videos, as well as carnival costumes. The building also houses the municipal archives and those of the local press.
