MUSÉE DU PAIN DÉCORÉ

This private museum (Μουσείου Το Πλουμιστό Ψωμί/Mousiou To Ploumisto Psomi, Decorated Bread Museum) is housed in a house in the residential area of Agia Zoni. Created in 2010 by Dorita Voskaridou, a specialist in Cypriot cultural traditions, it presents different types of decorated bread that until recently were prepared for weddings and celebrations, some in the shape of a frog or snake. Those from the village of Omodos are the most beautiful, decorated with flowering trees or braids symbolizing the moon. Demonstration and tasting on request.
