Very nice spot to explore for a 15 km tour, from the waterfall to Eagle Lake or to continue to Velmas Lakes
Eagle Lake is a very nice spot to explore. After parking your car along the road or in the parking lot, the tour is about 10 miles. Pass the waterfall, continue to Eagle Lake or continue to Velmas Lake, Fontanellis Lake and Dicks Lake, or reach the Maggies Peaks and loop back down Highway 89. This hike takes 4-5 hours. You can even go swimming in the lake by taking a 2 km detour. Please note that a permit is required for the entire tour.
