It has a Mid-century feel to it but has been kept up to date. We chose this place because it is removed from Carmel center but is only a couple of minutes away from the village. Rooms are clean and well kept, bathrooms are updated and current. Tech current for those traveling with devices. You'll find more than adequate charging capability.
Stayed at this cute hotel last weekend and really enjoyed it. Solid bang for the rate. Poolside service and honestly good food is definitely a plus! Service was kind and attentive
Came here last year in February after the storm knocked out the power. This is a small hotel and didn’t have any back up generators so we had no power. This place needs emergency lights when there is no power. Stairwells had no emergency lights so it was super dangerous taking luggage down in the dark. Needs some upgrades to make hotel safe when there is no power. Will not book small hotels anymore and don’t recommend this place.
I liked the location and the grounds were really beautiful. Across the street is a shopping center with a coffee shop and there is also a gas station right next to it. Doordash and Uber Eats are available.
I didn't like that the walls were quite thin and I could hear my neighbors after midnight since they'd been partying. The mattress was also not very comfortable and very stiff for me. The room smelled kinda stale.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Carmel Mission Inn, a property that stands out for its chic vibes and well-thought-out design. The room layouts, especially the sofa area, add a dope touch to the experience, making the stay uniquely comfortable. A special shoutout to Debbie, the bartender, who was absolutely great, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere with her friendly service and expertly crafted drinks. The pool and spa areas were the cherries on top, offering the perfect spots to relax and unwind. This inn is a must-visit for anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable getaway with top-notch amenities and staff.
I came here for a one night stay with my mom for her birthday. The property is easy to get to right off the highway and is located near many shops and restaurants. The checkin process was easy, and we were initially booked in a ground floor room. Rebecca at the front desk was so kind and was able to find us an upgraded room with a balcony on the 4th floor. We had a lovely view of the hills and a palm tree outside the window. The room itself is spacious and comfy with everything you need. The rain shower is really nice to use as well. Nicely scented bath products. Great robes to use as well!
The restaurant at the hotel, Shearwater Tavern has a great vibe and happy hour.
We didn’t try the pool as it was raining during our stay but it has a hot tub and looked inviting.
We got a room here for a mini spring break trip and we loved it, rooms were clean, we got a room with a balcony and it had a pretty view, pool area was well maintained, and even had a cute fire area. Hotel area was super close to stores, and restaurants, and down the street from the beach. Definitely family and dog friendly.
Customer service was not good or helpful at this location. We got here at 4pm and had to wait another hour for our room to be ready. Not to mention there was a whole waiting area full of people who were also waiting for a room at that time.
It was absolutely beautiful and I'm so happy we stayed there. The pictures don't do it justice. The hotel is very clean and offers many amenities. I highly recommend this hotel
Great setting and very clean inside and out. The shower faucet could not be adjusted to desired temperature or the hot water was not hot enough. We called and let them know. There was no follow up. We did get a weird phone call from the reception about my name. They also asked us what room number we were in!
This was a cute hotel to stay at. I liked the décor of the hotel and its amenities. The location was good and the pool area was very relaxing and enjoyable to me. The only issue I encountered was how difficult it was to find a parking spot late at night since the parking lot was extremely full.

My wife had breakfast and she enjoyed it.
Nice outdoor seating and fireplaces though.
