Staircase of 163 risers with a magnificent colorful and fluid fresco made by 2 artists with the help of 200 volunteers.
It is a staircase, which each of the 163 risers is decorated with a mosaic. The whole forms a magnificent colorful and fluid fresco, which seems to connect the sea and the sky. This project is a local initiative that was undertaken around two artists, Aileen Barr and Colette Crutcher, with the help of nearly 300 volunteers from the neighborhood, between 2003 and 2005. It is a real pride for the inhabitants of the Sunset District, who nevertheless fear that it will attract too many tourists!
