Bed & Breakfast in the heart of the trendy Hayes Valley neighborhood, offers comfortable rooms with good value for money
Charming bed & breakfast in the heart of trendy Hayes Valley, close to boutiques, restaurants and trendy bookstores. A warm welcome and an intimate atmosphere in this small hotel. The kitchen is tastefully decorated with a mix of marble and wood, and breakfast is served in front of the typical bow window. Very pleasant! As for the rooms, the bathrooms are separate, shared and rather small, but the prices are unbeatable and the cleanliness is beyond reproach. Carefully decorated, modern and comfortable rooms.

We were very impressed with the quality of Hayes Valley Inn considering the price. The room was very clean and spacious, and had nice big windows facing the street. The checkin and out procedure was very easy, although it’s a bit weird there were no hotel staff on the premises that we noticed. The common kitchen and dining room was lovely!!! Good location too. Honestly just great value for your money and would definitely stay here again.

My cousin from back East stayed here on the recommendation of her SF business friends. The place was quiet, tastefully decorated, and immaculate for being a survivor of an old SF Victorian neighborhood. To prove its age, each floor has a shared bathroom and toilet. On the 2nd floor was a kitchen and dining table stocked with dishware, etc. was welcoming. The hotel is
located in a gentrified neighborhood, so lots was happening, but many ethnic and affordable restaurants were nearby if you research online. Best of all, the hotel is 10 min walk to bus/BART transportation, the beautiful SF City Hall area, Asian Art Museum, and the SF Main Library.

We have loved this hotel for many years! However, on 03/30/23 the absentee owners/managers did NOT inform guests of a scheduled electrical outage on that night that prevented several registered guests from re-entering the hotel at 9:30pm, waiting outside for 45 minutes after phoning for help, only to finally find an uninhabitable totally dark room. The locking device on the hotel entry door is tied to electric service, not battery-operated like the room doors. PG&E had informed them of this planned outage! We felt unsafe staying the night, but had to argue with the person answering the phone the next morning to get a refund. We expected more understanding/compensation for leaving guests isolated, vulnerable, uninformed, and terribly inconvenienced.
The best at San Francisco and around
