Charming hotel with the best value in San Francisco, offering rooms decorated and designed in a retro universe
A charming little hotel in a house built just after the 1906 earthquake, its rooms are unbeatable for the area. On the other hand, the cheapest rooms are on the dark side of the corridor. Choose a room with a view (and therefore a window) of the street. Although small, they are decorated with a lot of flowery patchworks, but the whole is thought out in a fun retro universe. Bathrooms and toilets on the landing for all rooms, except for the penthouse on the roof which has a terrace and private bathroom, superb.

I’ve giving this hotel 5 stars for what it is: A funky, no-frills, super charming, fantastic location place to stay for not much money (by San Francisco standards!).
Yes, the rooms are pretty basic, the mattresses a bit worn, and the bathrooms/showers communal, but if you can deal with that you get a bargain hotel in a fantastic location.
The fun decor is what made it for me. Lots of little photos, bookshelves, weird statuettes, and randomly placed couches, give this spot immense charm. It made me smile every time I walked in the door!
The staff was always friendly and helpful, a plus in any spot.
The neighborhood is safe and welcoming, with a few good restaurants (I recommend the Thai spot down the block), and lots more if you walk south east. Be sure to try Pat’s cafe for breakfast and lunch (they don’t do dinner).
Ate at the restaurant once .it was very good. And easy access to many places.ill attach my Google hilight of places I saw or wanted to see while there.
