In a building dating back to 1906, this historic hotel has been redecorated in a contemporary style. The elegant style is designed in warm tones, with light wood furnishings. The lounge is very pleasant, and the rooms are small but cosy. It's just a stone's throw from Union Square and the MUNI and BART stations, but close to the Tenderloin, which has helped keep prices down in recent years. Very professional and courteous staff. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available in the adjoining Italian bar-grill.
