Hotel with comfortable rooms, located close to the Golden Gate Bridge, some rooms have a breathtaking view
This handsome, understatedly luxurious lodge is housed in a renovated former brick military barracks, next to the Walt Disney Museum and hiking trails in Presidio Park. The Lodge is very close to the Golden Gate Bridge, which many rooms overlook. The bright rooms are decorated in an attractive vintage style, with high ceilings. The atmosphere of the common rooms is created by a bevy of historic military objects on display: photos, forks, playing cards... a veritable little museum.

This is the best place to stay in sfo when you are in for a vacation. Especially for families with little kids. You feel completely safe and there is a huge lawn for the kids to play around all through the day. The property has some excellent views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is also so close to the beach - 10 minute walk. The only downside is the breakfast, for the price you pay - the breakfast could have been better. But it is totally worth it.

The interior of the building has been modernized without compromising the historic look of the outside. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, you're spoiled for choice at breakfast, there's wine and cheese in the evenings. The view from the back yard at the tunnel tops can't be beat. This is a great boutique place and I wish I had been able to spend more time here, but unfortunately this was a work trip.

What an absolute gem in the bustling city of SF, perfectly suited for family with young kids to let loose on the open & spacious lawn and to play at the Tunnel top park just steps away. We loved it so much we returned for a second time for a even longer stay and took the four years old to ride across Golden Gate bridge from the lodge.
