Called to confirm what the reviews said about rooms being quoted at once price and then being charged $35 amenities fee upon arrival along with other unexpected charges. Woman on the phone wanted my first and last name when I enquired about the validity of these charges. I declined and while I was waiting for a response about the extra charges, the call mysteriously ended. I’m gonna call this a “no.”

Guys, this place is awesome. Just FYI, they have three probably four different types of rooms. I stood in their 1 bedroom suite, it had a fire place and they provided the fire log. This hotel is unique, they earned my business. Im looking forward to coming back. Please fix the game room, ex.. pool table. Till next time.

Our Stay was amazing! Very well situated hôtel, room was clean and cozy. Got upgraded for free and even got a welcome cookie! Spécial thanks to Gitanjali for her precious and helpful recommandations! 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

The good: the hotel is adorable, rooms are small but stylish and comfortable, staff is awesome!! Location is great, area feels safe.
The bad: They charge $35 for the coffee maker in the room and the game room downstairs. Coffee was bitter. Parking is $65, valet only. They tell you to call ahead 15 minutes before you need the car, it took over 30 minutes for ours to show up out front. Just be aware that when the room says it is $139, it will actually be $253.

Front desk staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Rooms are funky. Location was great. Easy access. The 24hr games room is a huge win if you want something to do as a family without wandering downtown after dark!

Terrible experience with this hotel. I had a prepaid room booked. When I came over to check in at 9:30 PM I was asked to wait only to learn that all the rooms are blocked and no rooms are available. They are working on a room. I left for the dinner and came back at 10:15. I was told that there is no room at the hotel and I have been arranged at a different hotel (thankfully nearby). Still had to wait in the lobby for another 30 mins before I got the room.
Do not recommend to use this hotel given the shady practice being followed.

Wow ...

The staff was amazing, warm & friendly. They made us feel as if we were guests in their house. Rodaba & Audrey went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. After hearing it was my husband's birthday, we were upgraded to a huge apartment & they left a beautiful personalized note to my husband in our room. Every time we passed by the front desk, Rodaba was there with a smile & great conversation. She clearly enjoys her job!

The hotel was a neat, upbeat place in a convenient location. The room was spacious & very comfortable, we almost didn't want to leave. We didn't try the restaurant but we did get coffee at the coffee bar & it was delicious.

We had a wonderful stay & look forward to visiting again!

We just arrived at the hotel and the guy in the front desk was AMAZING, great service, excellent customer service, nice, soooo professional, if I can give him 10 starts just for him I would do it! Great service!!!

Overall it's a nice little place. Old building but redone in funky modern style. Games room in the basement is cool. If you are a light sleeper it might be too loud, sound isolation is minimal. Location is great.

Major annoyance is the "amenities fee" . $35 per night is collected and not returned. Don't know what I got for that money. Front desk didn't know either. Would stay again if total cost was upfront. It's scammy.

We had a wonderful time staying 3 nights in a King suite. The hotel is very relaxed and the decor is amazing! The best part of our stay was the service. Joel greeted us upon arrival and was so very kind and started our stay out on the right note. Day two saw all of our plans get cancelled due to the storms but Audra was amazingly helpful in offering us some good suggestions for things to do and see. Even though our tours were cancelled we were able to rent a car (1 block away) and take Audra’s suggestions and have a fabulous day!! This was a great home base for all of our experiences. Thank you Hotel Zeppelin, we will be back!

We had a great experience at Hotel Zeppelin! The staff, particularly Rodaba, were super welcoming and helpful. We loved the rock and roll decor and vibe of the place. The hotel has a really cute lounge area + fireplace downstairs and the gym was great.

This hotel looks better on the website than in real life. We had a basic, small (Queen) room with no view. We didnt find our room noisy though.
We booked via agoda and the bookings text explained all the amenities (which you pay extra for) but they are practically non existent.
We needed to use a computer for a rebooking of a plane ticket but that was not allowed.
All in all a basic, 3 star hotel in a convenient location.

Faux luxury, definitely not on par for an alleged "4 star" hotel. You have to pay a $35 a night non refundable "resort fee" for amenities that are hardly existent. You cant even have bottled water (a free offering at real luxury hotels) without them nickle and diming you.

The rooms are very noisy and I was "upgraded" to a room next to the elevator that was even noisier.

"Found" by Sonder is just a few blocks away and literally has better amenities, cheaper prices and better service despite being rated 2.5 stars. The only positive is that Hotel Adagio, which is a few blocks away is arguably just as bad in in a worse area closer to the tenderloin.

The one positive is it is close to Lost Cat which is a cool bar but you could have that if you stayed at the Marriot across the street. Do that instead.

It is also walkable to 2 BART stations and Union Square as well as a Walgreens and CVS.
