Arizmendi, part of the cheese board collective, is a solid worker-owned bakery that is known for their daily veggie pizza, focaccia, baked goods and to a lesser extent their caffeinated drinks.
The cheese board collective is known for sourcing high quality cheese, flour and other ingredients, and innovative recipes for pizza and focaccia.
This location has great focaccia, and often decent pizza that you can buy by the slice. However, parking can be a nightmare.
What I like about the pizza is the crust. It's slow fermented and that ensures that you do not feel gross after eating conventional pizza.
Tip: Check out their daily salad to complement your pizza slice.
They also have a daily bread of the day that isn't as good as some of the other specialty bakeries or farmers market, but is a solid choice.
One of the best bakeries in the city! It’s always fun to stop by and always busy on the weekends. Don’t pass up their scones and definitely don’t skip their pizza of the day (by the slice or pie). The toppings are always vegetarian and always unique. They seem to be renovating this location throughout March and maybe April of 2024 so try going to the Valencia location if this doesn’t work out!
Come in early and get pastries and warm bread fresh off the oven. There is pizza too. They open early (7:30am) There may be a short line on weekends (moves quick). Loved just hanging out and people (& and pups) watch in the wooden benches outside while eating my chocolate croissant. There was even a street musician playing the violin when I visited on a sunny Sunday morning.
You'll definitely want to wait in the line that forms out front. It's worth it. Plenty of gluten free options, and lots of delicious baked goods. The sales people are friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable.
We’ve been going since they opened and really, there’s just nothing better than Arizmendi. The scone of the day, focaccia, pecan roll, bread, pizza, cookies, and cheese roll are some of our favorites, but really, it is all fantastic.
Wish I lived closer; the riccaceli almond cookies are amazing! Tender and flavorful.
The Mexican chocolate muffin is also a favorite although it's been a few years. Thumbs up on the pizza. Line moves pretty quickly.
An offshoot of the cheeseboard bakery in Berkeley, and just like that place, it offers some of the best pastries and baked goods anywhere. The pizza is absolutely top and so are the focaccia. IMHO, it is worth a side trip if you are in San Francisco.
Love this little bakery. It’s located in the same street as Seidel’s Pizza, Willow on the green and their cheese roll so super yummy. You should totally go here. For $13.25. I got two cheese rolls, one croissant, chocolate, and one whole wheat English muffin, which was pretty good for the area.
Very special small bakery with tasty and tasty-looking baked goods. Holiday goodies include fruitcake and Marzipan Stollen. Adequate outdoor seats and public benches.
A priori, this small " bakery" do not look like... Much pizza, produced on the quick takeaway, and especially, especially I recommend the chocolate brownie. 4$ for a mega brownie, melting and any heat from the oven... the muffin with carrot are also delicious... And if you go cycling in the city, guests are entitled to a discount (- 10%) believe I!
