This restaurant dedicated to contemporary Chinese cuisine has a modern design with a concrete ceiling and large wooden tables, all organized around the kitchen. Go for the Sichuan pork dumpling with hyperfine sauce, the small duck sandwich and the green beans with mushrooms. All washed down with a 2017 Mayacamas chardonnais, it'll go down easy... The house also has a cozier VIP restaurant, a whiskey lounge bar, a tea room and a boutique area to leave with tea, cookies and condiments.

This was the best dim sum I've ever had in my life, and we have good dim sum in Seattle. I loved how they seem to have baked some of the dumplings off, giving it a discernable texture instead of just being soggy dumplings.

A friend of ours who used to be a local said this is the place to go for dinner, so after getting into San Fran, we dropped our bags off at the hotel and walked right over! Honestly, I was surprised there was a wait at the door on a Wednesday an hour before closing - and everyone around us was saying their name for a reservation. It seemed like it was strange to not have a reservation, because there was a lot of talking once we arrive. They had a nice spot at the bar for us tho! As just two, bar seating is always a good option so we were glad they could fit us in. They have an all you can eat style menu where you mark what you’d like and hand it to your server. We had a full day of food we didn’t get too much. The soup dumplings were some of the best I’ve had and I loved the duck. The drinks weren’t so bad and would probably be better if we haven’t had some insanely good drinks on our way up the state. Definitely a memorable experience.
