Good Chinese dim sum, price is good too. Just the renovation is not super fancy. Service is good.

I should have known by the dead fish in the tanks. When I went back 3 days later there were still dead fish in the tanks. I just went back to take photos. I got half a duck. Easily the worst duck I've ever had. Way overcooked and old. Mostly bones and skin indicating it had been up there a while. The meat was dehydrated. Gross.

My stomach was a little upset before I came in, but the tea and food healed my tummy. 10/10, would eat the steamed custard buns again

The food is amazing. The menu as always with pictures so you can see what you ordering. Portions are huge. Best place for big eaters. + prices better than in general restaurants in SF.

I am still thinking about my stuffed eggplant. Oh! And the Chinese greens with Garic. Oh! And the lotus paste bao. Oh! And the…

You get the idea.

Maybe I ate at this place with “rose colored glasses” on - we managed to easily get a parking spot right in front of this spot and it put us in a great mood to begin with.

But I am pretty sure it was just the delicious food.

Simple Chinatown restaurant with staple dim sum.

We normally love Chinese food. The food was terrible. The staff was super sweet, so I feel bad for giving a bad review. But the food was not edible. I had the chicken fried rice. My husband had pork (that looked raw), our son had the dim sum plate, and he couldn't eat it either. We did have some Chinese doughnuts there that we are pretty good.

great dimsum at a cozy place. service is great, especially for people who are concerned about language barrier. highly recommend the rice noodle rolls (cheung fun), har gow, and the string beans. i will say one segment of our shrimp cheung fun was undercooked and there was some raw rice flour, but it was a tiny spot and was easily removed.

Great food in Chinatown

Most of the food was very good, the bathrooms were nice and clean and service was friendly. Only complaint was being in the heart of beautiful Chinatown, you'd think there would be some decor in the restaurant, but it looked like an office space with tables.

Right before Grant Street, this dim sum was the only one we could find open early in Chinatown. Very welcoming staff. The food came out quickly, was tasty, had the most meat and shrimp we've found in dim sum, and we appreciated that we were the only English speaking people in the place. The crispy noodles were especially flavorful. You can get them with any meat, not just the shrimp as stated on the menu.

Have been coming here for more than 15 years - best seafood congee and nice tea

I was there with a friend and our food was not served at the same time, one very early and the other one ca. 10 min later. I immediately developed bellyache after eating and the food was not very tasty, but it seemed to be fresh. And it was really cold inside the restaurant.

We had a work anniversary event. On the recommendation of a colleague and friend, we reached out to Grant Place for our catering needs. First and foremost, they were such a pleasure to work with when it came to putting the menu together. They were kind enough to suggest what dishes would keep well throughout the evening and which dishes could be kept at room temperature and which ones needed to stay hot. That was extremely helpful to me because I wanted everything to be perfect for our guests.

They went above and beyond when it came to their service. The food was delivered on time and they were so kind and helpful, going beyond the scope of our contract to make sure that everything was indeed perfect for our event.

Our guests absolutely loved every dish! We ordered mostly dim sum, some noodles and some special dishes cooked without gluten ingredients for our gluten-free guests. The Siu Mai was the best I’d had in forever. For your next event, don’t hesitate to cater from Grant Place — your guests will love and thank you for it!

Food was great especially the custard buns with a surprise salted egg inside! Soooo good!!! I’ve never had custard buns like this before and I loved it! The service was excellent! The waiter was very nice and very fast. The oolong tea was also very good!
