THE CHURCH

Built in 1885, this Presbyterian church has been converted into a welcoming pub. In summer as well as in winter, the atmosphere is warm, with a bonus of a fireplace. It's the perfect place to relax in one of the armchairs after your cruise to Doubtful Sound or a walk around Lake Manapouri. It's not so much for the food, however. The Church serves excellent pub food. It's a no-frills establishment where there's no need for manners: a true Kiwi address.
